Before obtaining her Juris Doctor from Hamline University School of Law, Debra was licensed throughout the United States as a property casualty insurance broker and managed transactions between insurance companies and clients. She maintains her Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation from the American Institute of Property and Liability Underwriters and is active in Commercial Risk Consultants, LLC, a company she founded to provide enterprise risk management and insurance advisory services to clients with exposure to business risks of loss. Debra provides legal representation and counsel to business entities and to individuals. For businesses, clients are counseled and represented through the entire life cycle of their business from understanding the legal consequences associated with their idea for a business, through the creation and operation of it. Once created, General Counsel Services are offered to provide continuing legal and strategic guidance to the business, to produce relevant business documents, to assist with corporate compliance issues, and to spot issues that require further research or specialized handling. For individuals, Debra works with clients to obtain emotional and financial recovery from all aspects of the harm that they experienced because of wrongful acts committed against them by others.
